Used it to charge a brand new motorcycle battery after filling it up with acid. Worked as expected, no surprise.
The old battery was bad, so it would not charge it because it would think the charge is finished as soon as it starts. But that's because the output impedance of a worn out battery is too high.
No problem charging a battery in good condition. I really like the fact that you can choose the max current, display current / voltage / percentage, and the fact that there is a microcontroller to monitor things and act in case something unexpected happens.
Nachdem ich zuvor ein teureres Gerät in Betrieb hatte welches um einiges komplexer schien und mehrere Parameter eingestellt werden mussten, ist dieses hier recht preiswert und einfach handzuhaben. Einfach die V Zahl einstellen und die A, die es laden soll, an die Batterie anschliessen und fertig, es lädt. Das Gerät hat eine integrierte Elektronik welche auf Ladungserhaltung umstellt, wenn man die Batterie überwintert. Da ich das Gerät noch keinen Monat in Betrieb habe ist es schwer zu sagen zu diesem Zeitpunkt, ob alles so läuft wie es soll, es sieht jedenfalls danach aus... :-)
The manual says "It can recover a battery that has at least 1.5V left". Tried it, it refused to do anything with a battery that had less than 10V left. The "power supply" mode helped as it's a mode that does "push at most 6.5A and don't care where it goes", so after half a day of that, the battery was in a good enough shape for the computer inside to care about it.
