So far so good.

Very easy to set up and control with the app. 9 panels is a strange number to assemble, as most of the patterns we wanted to try needed either 8 or 12. Even buying the extra set of 4 wouldn't have helped that dilemma, so we just included the 9th panel on the edge of a pattern. It's fun to play with the colors and brightness, but on a basic yellow light there are tints of red that still show. They're a nice addition to the room, but I would say try to get them on sale and don't expect to use them as the only light source unless you don't mind that it won't fill the room with light. They're best for adding ambiance and fun to the room.

Pro

  • Easy to set up and control with the app
  • Fun to play with the colors
  • Unique

Contre

  • 9 panels doesn't work well with many patterns
  • The solid light isn't a consistent yellow
  • Expensive
  • Not wireless

I'm thinking about getting the Canvas for my ceiling and the Aurora for the wall in my bedroom. There is LED strips on my desk but other than that, it would be my only light source. Isn't there a warm white mode that would be bright enough to light up the room?

Yes, I think that would work. There are warm white, reading light, and daylight options under the basic color setting, and you can change the brightness. Of course, it depends on how big the room is, how many panels you plan to have, and how bright you need it to be. I keep ours around 35% on warm white, and that (plus some light that comes from the next room) is all we use in our living room.
One word of caution; the tints of color I mentioned showing through when it's on the warm white seem to be slowly getting worse the more we use it. I haven't changed anything in my settings to cause it, but I also haven't really tried to fix it either, so just something to consider.
