Sporty pedelecs from 3599 to 8499 euros tested
Want to really let off steam? With an e-bike? Sure, that's possible! And not only with an e-MTB, the class of lightweight bikes with narrow tyres also offers bikes with support and addictive potential! The most purist is certainly the Konrad Singlespeeder, a cornering speedster with minimal equipment. Giant sent the lightest bike to be tested: the Defy-E with high-end equipment, rear hub motor and great performance. The Palatinate-based e-bike manufacturer Fischer sent two exhibits into the race: a hardtail with touring ambitions and a fully for rough terrain. The Black Forest start-up Waldbike offers the Quercus (Latin for holm oak) fully, a versatile off-road bike with a powerful motor. The Raymon Trailray 150 Pro from the bicycle and e-bike production centre in Schweinfurt, Lower Franconia, shows where the hammer hangs in the trail. And yes, you can really let it rip on any of the six pedelecs we tested until you're exhausted. Or you can take it easy.
