Question about picked. USB-C hub

Can anyone tell me if you have to confirm anything on the phone when using it with the Mate 10 pro? When I connect the TV and mouse exactly nothing happens.... My problem is that my touchscreen is all broken and the display is only half working. -> But I should make a backup and hope to get access through the doc.
