I'm not sure whether I should buy the high-speed version, because I want to run the fans on a radiator. Is the performance of the normal Silent Wings 3 sufficient? Or should I rather go for the Highspeeds?
It depends on how much heat is generated by your components, which are connected to the water cooling system and whether your radiators are sufficient for this.
Alphacool is one of the best manufacturers for water cooling components and their flagship for an AiO water cooling system for CPUs is the Alphacool Eisbaer Extreme AiO. This also has 2 SilentWings 3, but they rotate at a maximum of 1,300 RPM (https://www.alphacool.com/eisbaer-ex...). Stupidly, this is probably a special version, because the SilentWings 3 here at Digitec have the specifications:
Normal: 0-1'000 RPM & 1.08 mmH20 (static pressure) --> silent
Highspeed: 0-1'600 RPM & 2.16 mmH20 (static pressure) --> naturally more audible at high speeds
What do you have connected to the water cooling and do you want to overclock the components?
Best regards
Marc
I recommend the Highspeed....man thus has the option if you need it.
