Hello... So recording onto an SD card is possible. But since the M1 chip is not an X86 processor and the software was already not designed for MAC, it will not be possible to run it on the Macbook. And as far as webcam recording is concerned, as far as I know this only works for livestreaming and not for recording. But you could also insert this afterwards with a picture-in-picture programme... So for such projects, I would ALWAYS go back to a Windows desktop PC with a good graphics card, because there are simply many more possibilities than with a Mac.

You should be able to stream with the headset without any problems. But if you really want good quality, I recommend a microphone.

Yes, but only if this external hard drive is connected to the PC. Elgato 4K60 S+ with USB to PC and external hard drive via USB to PC, otherwise you only have the option of the SD memory card, then you don't need a PC. But I hope that by external hard drive you mean an SSD, HDDs are not suitable for such data volumes.
