Google Chromecast Audio
Heey, According to Google & Toppreis.ch see link http://lmgtfy.com/?q=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.toppreise.ch%2Fprod_428387.html you get the product only from CHF 54.- Maybe you have seen the older Chromecast. Greetings
No, the Chromecast does not have a battery, but is connected to the power supply with a microUSB cable (5V/1A; adapter/"charger" is included). However, since the power consumption is rather low, you can also operate it via battery or, for example, if your radio has a USB port, plug it in there [1]. Since you ask whether the Chromecast has a battery, I would like to make this comment (I assume you are aware of this, but better safe than sorry): the Chromecast must be on the WLAN [2] for it to work. That means it's not a portable speaker like a Logitech UE Boom or JBL Flip. Since you write "12 volts" - do you want to use it in the car? I've never tried it (I use Bluetooth or AUX), but I'd be curious to know if (and how) it works! 1] e.g. with this [TechniSat Digit CD (Anthracite, DAB+, USB Host, CD) - very practical! [2] Ethernet also works, see https://store.google.com/product/ethernet_adapter_for_chromecast
I also have one on my stereo system. It only has to be connected to the power supply. If you are on the same Wi-Fi as the Chromecast, it is always displayed.
Unfortunately, we do not yet have any information on whether we will receive the item again. It is currently still sold out.
Unfortunately Google itself has stopped producing it. See here: https://9to5google.com/2019/01/11/google-discontinued-chromecast-audio/#:~:text=As%20of%20today%2C%20however%2C%20Google,discontinuing%20the%20Chromecast%20Audio%20altogether.&text=We%20have%20therefore%20stopped%20manufacturing,their%20music%2C%20podcasts%20and%20more.
What exactly do you want to do? Transfer sound or image from where to where?
Question 1. I assume that the Chromecast is connected to the Denon receiver via HDMI input, right? Then the TV does not necessarily have to be on to listen to music. Yes, with the "normal" CC you can also only listen to music. Resolutions up to 48kHz, 16bit. The CC Audio can handle up to 96kHz, 24bit. Question 2: No, that's pretty much impossible. The CC Audio only has cinch or Toslink.
Hello, I was supplied with a Swiss plug (the shape is similar to an iPhone plug, but from Google).
Chromecast connects to the WLAN, i.e. any device with WLAN can potentially serve as a transmitter (e.g. PC or smartphone). The range is of course better than with Bluetooth.
Yes, according to our information it works.
Yes, you can. Super accessory to address any speaker system smartly. I've been using it myself for over a year.
No, the Chromecast can only be controlled within the network.
Yes, that works. I also had it in operation like this... with PC to FritzBox and Cromcast via the FritzBox WLAN.
Apparently not at Digitec. Therefore, here is the link to the Google Store: https://store.google.com/product/ethernet_adapter_for_chromecast
I am no longer sure if an adapter for 220 volts was included (everything is nicely stowed behind the unit...). A common telephone charging adapter can be used. Caution is advised if you use a repeater. For me, the Chromecast does not work with repeater (Huawei) when I switch it off perfectly.
It only works with a smartphone. But if you listen to music and deactivate the Wi-Fi, for example, the music continues to play. Initial but started via smartphone. And it has a 3.5 mm audio out instead of HDMI (which is an advantage if you only stream music).
No, if the stereo system has an aux connection, you can connect the Chromcast there, switch to AUX and then it should work.
Thank you for pointing this out, but you are not the first to find out: https://www.digitec.ch/de/s1/QuestionAndAnswer/gemaess-diversen-test-betraegt-der-strassenpreis-chf-3900-digitec-hat-normalerweise-sehr-kompetitive-9121
