Question about Google Chromecast Audio
Hello Community. I would like your technical advice: I already have a Google Chromecast and now I want to buy 2 x Chromecast AUDIO. Is it possible to use these with the Chromecast for Multiroom Audio? That is, can I share the sound on all Chromecast Audio and the Google Chromecast 3 at the same time? Thank you very much for your help.
It is like Bauer00 said. However, multi-room sharing only works with audio playback. With Spotify you can use the multiroom function, but streaming with Youtube does not work for me. The audio from Youtube can't stream to the Chromcast audio either.
I can't speak from experience, but after a quick Google search I found several hints that this should be possible since a version came out sometime in 2018.
You should be able to group multiple Chromecasts together and then select that group as the playback "device".
