Privately, I use a mini PC (Win10) that is connected to the Fritz Box via a LAN cable. WLAN is available from the Fritz Box. I connect the Google Chromecast Audio to this WLAN. Does the PC also recognise the Google Chromecast Audio as an external playback device in this case?

Yes, that works. I also had it in operation like this... with PC to FritzBox and Cromcast via the FritzBox WLAN.
