myStrom Smartplug
If I have understood correctly, the new generation of the myStrom WiFi Switch offers temperature-dependent control. I would like to use it to control my pool pump in winter. The pump would have to run daily for a certain time, but always from a certain low temperature (water that moves does not freeze). Is such a setting possible?
It is possible to do this, but in this case the socket will have to be outside and protected from water. It will also need to be connected to the home wifi.
You can define an action when the temperature is too low or too high. For example, switching a device on or off, including your own switch. However, an AND link, such as with the schedule, is not possible. This would probably be possible if two switches were connected in series. One for the time and the other for the temperature.
Absolutely. It is possible to perform an action (switch on, switch off or switch on for a certain time if the temperature is above/below a certain value measured by the switch.
