Question about myStrom Smartplug
After realising with horror that I now have to pay for the data collection, I decided to buy an alternative, the question is what is the best alternative? Please give me some feedback.

It depends on your requirements.
Ikea has good and inexpensive smart plugs (Tretakt). Big disadvantage: not great for Swiss multiple sockets. Also need a hub. Lower standby power because not via WiFi.
I'm currently facing the same problem. I got the smart plug from Eve as an alternative:
Eve Energy - CH (Matter) (Type 13)
Very easy to set up and currently works perfectly. However, it requires an Apple ecosystem and the Eve app to fully utilise all the functions.
As I only really need the smart plug to measure the production of my balcony solar system, I also bought the DTU from Hoymiles for comparison:
Hoymiles DTU-WLite
It took some patience to set up, but now works perfectly. If this doesn't change over the next few weeks, this will almost certainly be the solution I go for. Of course, the stick doesn't have any smart functions.
