My notebook is an HP Spectre 13V190NZ. It has 3 USB C ports, 2 of which are called "Thunderbolt 3". I would like to charge my laptop via the docking station (then I could keep the original charging cable in my travel bag), detach the notebook from the peripherals with a flick of the wrist and transfer the data from the office computer to my laptop with as much speed as possible.I need to be able to transfer data from the office computer to my notebook as quickly as possible (the notebook is at home, so it is not connected to the office device via the network; I use USB sticks for data transfer). The docking station must have a cable that is at least 1m long (preferably a little longer), as I usually have the laptop on my knees when I use it (the various docking stations available that only have +/- 20 cm long cables are therefore not necessary). External screens are not an issue at the moment, but I might want to connect a monitor one day.

If the HP Spectre has a Thunderbolt 3 port, I strongly assume that it will work. Just be aware that you have to buy your own Thunderbolt 3 cable, which is hardly available at the moment, if at all in the Apple shop (Belkin brand). Nevertheless, a good normal USB-C cable would also do, if the data rate is below 20Mbit/s, if the cable is very high quality it can certainly withstand more. With all these hubs, no matter whether Thunderbolt 3 via USB-C or only USB-C, two DisplayPort monitors with QHD resolution and 120/144hz do not work.

Your question should actually be more specific, what does your laptop have and what peripherals do you want to be able to operate with it? It is important to specify all the details, brand/model, etc.
