Question about StarTech Adapter USB 3.0 to 2.5" SATA III

Would it be possible to disconnect an internal HDD installed in my PC from the Sata cable and connect it to my Macbook (additional adapter Usb 3.0 to Usb C) using this adapter? The power supply would still be via the PC.
