Would an Intel i7 10k be enough to get good performance with this GPU?
I have an i5 10600k and it runs great with my 3060 Ti. The card is fully utilised and the CPU still has plenty of reserve. So this is no problem with your i7 10k because it has even higher performance.
Basically, I would answer this question with a clear YES. Of course, it depends on what your requirements are. Often, in today's games, it's not the CPUs that are the limiting factors, but the graphics cards themselves. I would therefore rather spend a little more money on a GPU than a CPu. For example, my setup is a Ryzen 7 3700X (~350.-) paired with this GPU (~500.-).
I can play most of my games at just about the best 4k resolution. If I lower the settings a little (High or Medium), it is enough to play even the most demanding game smoothly (>60fps).
Depends a lot on the game. I currently use it with an i5-4570 CPU. At 4K, the CPU performance is often no longer sufficient, but at WUXGA, for example, it looks better. So an i7 10k should easily be enough for this card, unless the game is poorly optimised.
