I had the phone since it was launched and it is a great phone, very happy with it. I applied the update a few weeks back which upgraded to EMUI 9, Android is still version 9. Playstore and all the apps still fully functional.

I have had the phone for 2 years. I get about one update every 2 months. Last time was ANDROID patch March 2020.
