Will this docking station work for an Envy 15? It's not on HP's compatibility list, but the connector on the cable looks exactly like the one on the Envy 15's power supply. And at 230 W, it would have enough power too. Link: https://store.hp.com/us/en/pdp/hp-thunderbolt-dock-g2-with-combo-cable

I can answer the question myself in the meantime: Yes, the combo cable of the 230 W version fits into the Envy 15 and everything works tiptop.

@SS10: One end of the combo cable can be split, in your case it's obviously the end plugged into the dock. Simply unscrew the dock at the bottom, turn the cable around and screw it back on.

Unfortunately, I can't say. I wanted to use the docking station for my MacBook, which didn't work because the connector, which was a combination cable, couldn't be disconnected.
