Why should I buy something like that when I can buy a NAS? Sorry, someone has to explain the purpose of this product to me first.

The software is very simple and therefore the operation is also correspondingly easy.
if you understand the technology and know how to handle folders well, a NAS can be the better choice. For people who understand very little about it, Lima is the much better choice because it is very easy to install.
