Question about Meta Quest 2 64 GB

The Oculus Quest 2 is supposed to be better than the "old" Oculus Quest in almost all respects.
Why did the old one cost more than twice as much?

299 USD are the American prices. In Switzerland it also costs 399.- at Oculus directly. Unfortunately, our price of 299 USD turned into 399 sFr.

Customs, VAT, transport etc. etc. add up quickly. There are also employees at Digitec who need a living wage ;-). It's different in the US, but look at the poverty gap there, no comparison to CH.
