Question about Samsung 970 Evo
Which adapter do I need for this SSD if I don't have a suitable socket for it on the mainboard? And do I have a performance loss when it is converted to SATA later?

Apparently there are adapters from M.2 to SATA. I simply searched for "M.2 SATA" at digitec. However, you will only reach the maximum speed of your SATA controller, so this will be a bottleneck. Unfortunately, this means that the fast, new technology of the M.2 SSD is of no use to you.
