With the (old) cable from my Samsung DVD/Blueray Writer (SE-506) plus the update from Garmin Express, the Garmin DriveAssist 51 switches on and the map update works.
Don't mention it. Charging cables for almost all Garmin models can be ordered from Subtel AG Seefeldstrasse 69 8008 Zurich. Costs 9.95 plus postage 2 francs. You can use it to charge your Garmin via 220Volt.

You don't need a special cable for this, it's the same as for the mobile phone. The connection on the navigation device is the same as on the mobile phone, a micro-USB.
