When I want to charge my Apple Watch via the USB port, I always have to unplug the cable and plug it back in again before the Apple Watch charges. Can anything be done about this? (Original cable, AW S6)
I have a very similar problem - did you ever find a solution? I have an Apple Watch charger pluged on USB-C, and an iPhone cable on USB-A. The Watch always charges properly, but for the iPhone I have to unplug the Watch charger first, then the iPhone will charge. Sounds crazy I know, but that is what is happening.
Not sure if it's a defect with the Aukey charger.
This is an expected effect of the energy-saving function as with many GaN chargers. Standby consumption is low because almost unused connections go into a kind of deep sleep. When plugged in again or when sufficient energy is drawn, the demand is renegotiated. Therefore, they are not suitable for devices in continuous operation without a battery, such as HomePod or Raspberry PI. However, they are extremely suitable for people who want to charge their everyday devices efficiently, such as laptops, smartphones or new smartwatches. For small devices such as smartwatches to work reliably, the initial charge must be sufficient (e.g. fast charging function,...). Otherwise, the only way to trigger the renegotiation is to plug them in again.
Same problem with the Galaxy Watch4. Customer service info follows...
For me, the USB-A port usually no longer works as soon as the USB-C sockets are used. I will probably have to return the charger.
Here the same. Reconnect extravaganza... Until it works...
For me, the Apple Watch always charges immediately and without problems
