When I started the PC, it sounded like something was exploding (like fireworks). However, there was no strange smell and the PC started normally. Is my PSU not iO? Just bought.

Helpful answer

A PSU with damage can continue to function. If there is a bang, something has gone wrong. Therefore, you should be careful and wait to see what other users or digitec writes.

Have you also written to digitec@digitec.ch? Here you are only in the forum where other digitec customers reply.

If you have any problems, you can use my current warranty cases as a reference: Number: 1154128, Warranty case 100330, Warranty case 100459, Warranty case 100462, Warranty case 100464.
These are the power supply, mainboard, processor and RAM that I send to digitec.

A Corsair power supply!

My power supply unit that I bought yesterday has caused a short circuit! Boom, smoke and fuse out! The protection functions of the Corsair RM650i (650W) power supply failed! Hardware was destroyed! My Corsair power supply really exploded!

I don't know what to tell you. If it sounds like something is exploding when you switch it on, then something is not OK. Did you start

the PC a second time? No, if you haven't already started it a second time then don't do it. Wait and see what other users write.
