Question about Crealogix PayEye

When I read the reviews of Payeye, I almost feel sick. No one is really happy and when I see the price, I wonder if there are cheaper alternatives for reading a QR code. I was told at Crealogix that I absolutely need version 5.1 for the new QR Code, i.e. an upgrade (currently at the special offer price of 72 francs) from my version 4 is necessary. But when I asked whether QR scanners from other manufacturers could be used, I was told: "Our PayEye works with it, but you would have to check with the manufacturer to find out whether other products do. What an answer! The question is rather whether the interface between SW and HW is standardised - i.e. whether I can scan and transmit the code even in the eBanking app (UBS) or in Paymaker. What is your view?

this smartphone app works perfectly with PayMaker https://www.qrzahlteil.ch/ developed by Swiss SMEs.

My recommendation = hands off Crealogix! After a little more than a year, Crealogix refuses to give me the security update for an FTX certificate concerning security with the financial institution. They tell me that I have to buy a paid update for Fr. 78.00. Then after one year it is due again - a huge money machine that is not worthy of being fed and that obviously does not care about our security.

I work with my bank's mobile app. It works without any problems with the desktop e-banking.
Scan and a second later everything appears on the screen. Maybe every 15-20 scans have to be repeated.
Therefore, this device is completely unnecessary for me and when I read the many negative reviews, I seem to have the best solution.

I have already bought different PayPen versions four times for a lot of money. I don't want to spend a lot of money again for a device that is no longer compatible after a few months! I have been using PayMaker for over 20 years and have already spent enough on updates! That's why I'm also looking for a cheaper variant to read in the QR for PayMaker.

Now I'm completely confused - I was just about to buy a scanner, but when I read the first feedback, I got sick of it... I've needed Crealogix for years, but have to say that A) the support is crap, and B) my pen has basically given up the ghost.... so wondering if the new QR scanner is really good, then I don't care what it costs....

With Crealogix I don't have a good experience, customer support costs and is expensive plus the whole thing is bad. https://barcodetopc.com/swiss-qr-c... tried but didn't go well. Best is the QR payment part, works perfectly for Migros and PostFinance. Important: after installation on PC, configure the correct bank.

I don't quite understand the question, but the answer from Crealogix...
Anyway, PayEye scans directly into the common eBanking apps (e.g. UBS Pay, UBS Quicken, UBS e-banking classic, PayMaker and many more) without any additional software. This is a setting in the software that comes with PayEye.
