When I connect the Samsung Portable SSD T5 (500GB) to my Mac, I get a window from Samsung "DISCONNECTED" -> "No Samsung Portable SSD is connected." What could this be?

Maybe the wrong file format? Use OS X Disk Utility (Utilities) to reformat (or partition) with a Mac file format.
