What is the maximum performance that reaches the end device via the USB-C connection, is it 1000/bits? It says that not all ports support this?

The 1000 Mbits/s refers only to the RJ45 Ethernet for fast wired internet.
The USB-C port you are supposed to connect the dock to supports a total of 10 Gbps.
It is important to connect the dock to a USB-C (and/or Thunderbolt) port to ensure that the full 10 Gbit can be used. However, the dock also comes with a USB-C to USB-A adapter, which should be used with a 10 Gbit/s capable USB-A (it is not always easy to know if the port on the computer supports this).
If you use the dock via a 5Gbit USB-A, it should still work, but not necessarily at full speed.
