What is the community opinion on this? After purchasing used from a third party seller on the Galaxus site, I received this email: [Recently you have bought an Acer EB321HQUC from my colleague through Digitec. Now there has been some confusion regarding the shipping fees, which apparently fall on the sellers responsibility. Shipping a big package such as this desk chair is not cheap, and as the chair was sold for an already low price, it becomes economically unfeasible for me to pay for the shipping costs (29chf). Therefore, I suggest that we arrange a time for you to pick up the package in Zurich, or that we cancel the order. My sincerest apologies for the inconvenience.] Chatting with Galaxus reps, I was told they are not responsible for third party sales. This is in the contract. I asked if the seller agreed to a contract to pay for shipping. Reluctantly, I was told yes. They said he was free to alter the agreement with me. I said I am planning to sell my drone with them. I asked if I get someone to buy, then contact them to get them to pay for shipping. As long as I am not in a hurry to sell, I could repeat this until someone wanted it enough to pay. The agent told me any agreement sellers and buyers made were ok! This means pricing products lower and asking for shipping or extra money later can be a sales tactic!! Let me know if it works for you!
Hoi - Kind of weird: You bought a TFT (a 31), but there is mention of a desk chair? Very strange.
Bulky goods or larger things cost accordingly in shipping, that's the way it is - how that is exactly regulated on this platform, I don't know (on R-icardo it's reasonably clearly shown with shipping costs or without and pickup etc. (Plus that you can also agree on that separately).
I have already picked up a monitor because shipping was too expensive (and uncertain) or the other party had not included it. My tip: if you pick up the monitor: you should be accompanied, the place should be public, payment should be clearly regulated (disadvantage: function and quality control can be difficult)...
And yes, this can be a tactic or a scam!
