what does the addition "Late 2020" mean? Is it a model that was produced at the end of 2020?

This is Apple's model designation and refers to the date of introduction. When it was actually produced in the factory has nothing to do with it. This machine is the latest MacBook Air (as of April 21) and is highly recommended.
