What do you recommend for an usb keyboard/mouse for the switch? Our logitec mk700/m705 does not work at all...

I can't switch even with my HP keyboard, I always have to press the button on the KVA switch...

I currently use a Logitech K520 and a Logitech MX Anywhre 2 mouse.
Both with their own "USB Unifying receiver". I MUST use two independent receivers. It is not enough to configure both devices on one reciever.
The ports for the keyboard and mouse are different and the respective reciever must be plugged into the correct port.

I may have had to make hotkey changes to the settings for recognising the mouse and keyboard. It's been a while since I configured this and I remember trying a few things.

Switching via keyboard works for me.

Hello dear Jasmine, the keyboard and mouse are connected via a "USB Unifying receiver". Have you already tested whether the keyboard and mouse work when you connect the "USB Unifying receiver" directly to the computer (MAC/PC)? To connect or disconnect keyboards and mice from the Unifying receiver you need the following programme "https://support.logitech.com/de_ch...". Depending on the receiver, 6 -8 devices can be connected with it.
The Aten CS1794 has a USB input for the mouse and keyboard and this could be the problem.

First my constellation, keyboard with cable at the Aten and mouse via receiver and it works.

It could be that the Aten can't handle a receiver connected to the USB port, mouse or keyboard port, where a mouse and a keyboard are connected at the same time, so you would have to test.
Now I do "trial and error".
Configure the receiver, connected directly to the PC, so that only the keyboard is connected to it and then plug it into the USB keyboard port of the Aten.
If the keyboard now works, this means that you need another receiver for the mouse where only the mouse is connected and you then plug this into the port for the mouse in the Aten.
If you have bought the mouse and the keyboard separately then you also have two receivers, if not you have to buy another one.
Again, I have the following products on my Aten, all of which work: mouse, keyboard and sound, QNAP NAS TVS-EC1080+, Windows 7 to 10, Samsung mobile phone via DeX-Station and a MacBook Pro.
By the way, you can update the Aten via firmware, maybe this will solve all problems.
The latest version is v1.3.123 from 2 April 2018.
Firmware update on the Aten is very special via e-mail support info@pcagent I can help you further!

I hope that I could help you with this information.
