What about cleaning the inside of the hoover and accessories? I used to have the first generation of these "hand vacuums" plus the Animal Complete accessories.....after 1.5 you could throw the thing in the bin. I never did any big cleaning with it but used it for cleaning in between, but the thing started to smell like hell :-D (despite weekly cleaning of filter and housing). It never sucked in water or anything, you couldn't get everywhere when cleaning the housing and cleaning was difficult. The vacuum nozzle was also very difficult to clean because you had to take everything apart, not to mention the felt-like parts of the nozzles....Do you have to throw the filters in the washing machine or something in the meantime? How do you get these yellow-purple floor nozzles and the like clean?
According to research, the filters still cannot be cleaned in the washing machine, but you have to wash them out by hand. Dire yellow-purple floor nozzle can be washed out, but the other accessories cannot be cleaned with water.
