well. what can i say. the device is fantastic: only with the move of whatsapp i'm going insane. has anyone ever managed to transfer their whatsapp backup from android to iOs? an unbelievably impossible thing... Digitec should do an article about it... while I wait for the next 48 hours to be able to verify my whatsapp again...
Hello SpiroCH. Unfortunately, this will not work. The format in which WhatsApp runs on Android OS is not the same as on iOS.
There are the famous/ infamous "helpers" on the internet (software) but that works more bad than good. Tried two and failed in frustration.
Conclusion: The transfer will not work because the formats are different.
What is possible (a consolation): make a backup in any case (Android) and in the WA menu: Settings > Chats > Chat history, you have the option of at least archiving and exporting the chats.
