We have the problem that the monitor in connection with various MacBook Pro's (M1) or Mac Studio's has problems with the resolution. I.e. when the computer/screen goes into sleep mode and then displays the picture again, the resolution setting is reset. Sometimes it no longer recognises the maximum resolution until the monitor is restarted. Is there a way around this? We have already tested with different screen cables without success.
Hello, I also had similar problems with the connection via USB-C cables and this monitor. In my case, the problem was more likely the output/resolution capability of the PC. I also tested several very high quality cables without the hoped-for success in reaching the full resolution of the monitor (5K). Actually, it didn't work at all via USB-C, not even with a lower resolution. Only when I used a high-quality display port cable was I able to reach a compromise (4K resolution at 30 fps). I can't do any better, even though my PC could output more (but it's enough for me). I would recommend trying it with display port cables and checking the maximum output capability of the computers. If necessary, reduce the resolution output in the system settings. I also suspect that the USB-C connection of the monitor is only used as a data interface (hub) and not for image transmission (although promised by the manufacturer). Otherwise, write to the manufacturer's support and ask. Good luck, the monitor is otherwise sensational!
Addition; I use a USB-C cable, as this charges the monitor at the same time. Thanks for your help!
