Question about Sonos Playbase

We have now also bought a 5.1 Sonos system - unfortunately our Samsung (UE46ES6100) cannot pass through a 5.1 signal. Therefore, there is only stereo input. (HDMI devices like AppleTv, PS4, laptop connected to the TV and Playbase connected to the TV via TOSlink/optical cable). Now we need a switch workaround. Can anyone recommend something? I've written out Art-Nr 6154257... I would then connect AppleTv, PS and co. to it, (1/2)

So, I have now ordered the article in question.
The device is CEC-capable and forwards signals such as "TV on/off".
Now everything runs tiptop in 5.1 and the experience is awesome. The simulated 5.1 matrix that Sonos simulates in stereo is really good. But real 5.1 with the Sonos system is dope. I can only recommend it to anyone whose TV doesn't support this loop-through either :) It's definitely worth it!

5.1. is totally overrated for the home - just connect the rear speakers and make a pair of them - the same with the front - then you already have a great experience (even without DS) - everything else will be a tinkering lesson for you.... good luck

(2/2) then one HDMI from the TV to the switch for the sound input and a second HDMI from the TV to the switch for this ARC, so that the "internal TV sound" is routed to the Playbase via the switch, is that correct?
And additional question: when I now switch the AppleTV on/off, the TV also switches on/off. Will that still work with this switch?
Many thanks for the help! :)
