Wanted to use the hub as a charging adapter for several Apple products.
Apparently the device is not suitable for pure charging, as this sometimes works and sometimes not.
Is this the wrong hub for pure charging?

Depends on the charging current. The USB plug must be plugged into a port that supports at least 3 amps. For pure charging, an adapter with 4 outputs is much better.... (also better for your Apple)
