USB 3.1??? Do I also achieve the specified data transfer rates on my current USB 3.0 port on the laptop (in my case MS Surface Pro 4)???
Yes and no. As already mentioned, USB 3.0 is now USB 3.1 Gen 1, which is often misused as a marketing trick by manufacturers. With large files, you can easily reach the 380 MB/s writespeed. I was able to copy 21.7 GB to the stick in 57s. However, with smaller files and many individual small files, the speed varies/sinks. I would definitely recommend the stick.
Theoretically, USB 3.0 is supposed to be 5 Gbps, i.e. approx. 600 MB/s. But maybe digitec can tell you whether this is really true. On my test device iMac Retina (Late 2015) it only managed 390 MB/s read and 350 MB/s write.
