Unfortunately, the USB-C charging function does not work with all notebooks. I have a Dell 5530 with Thunderbolt 3, and the charging function works there. The other laptops, a Fujitsu u749 with USB-C and an HP Elitebook with USB-C cannot be charged with the 279P. Both require less than 65W, but it's not the fault. I have another monitor with integrated USB-C charging function (Fujitsu P27-9 TS QHD) where both notebooks can be charged without any problems. It is clear that the USB-C USB PD version 3.0 is somehow not compatible with the devices mentioned. But why doesn't Philips make it possible to charge standard laptops like the Fujitsu P27-9 TS QHD?
I have an HP Elitebook. Unfortunately, none of the USB-C ports work. Accordingly, the Logitech BRIO webcam and the Philips 279P cannot be connected. Work around?
Have you tried setting the monitor to USB 2.0 instead of USB 3? Maybe that will help, it's worth a try...
