Unfortunately, no SD card can be inserted when using the second SIM card. You can put together a SIM with an SD card, but unfortunately you can't buy one. Right?

The SD/SIM card I put together works perfectly :-) It's not that difficult. You just have to use superglue and press the SIM chip firmly onto the SD card on the side to be inserted so that the edge of the chip doesn't get stuck on the pins. If you use double-sided tape, as recommended in some tutorials, the card will be much too thick.

Tinkering? Well, you can. However, the SIM comes from your mobile phone provider, so you can't just buy a microSD with a SIM combo. I would, however, inform the mobile phone provider of the suggestion (but first secure the patent!).

The slot is a so-called hybrid slot. This means that you can either use a SIM card + a microSD or 2 SIM cards at the same time without a microSD. You don't have to tinker with it either. So it's either - or. You still have 32GB of internal memory, which is not exactly little.
