Unfortunately I can't find an exact answer anywhere.
I have the Hero 7 Black. So this housing fits.
But when it was delivered, it came with an open back (intended for extreme use, I think).
And a closed back is included and another closed back is loose.
My question are these 2 times the same back or are these for different hero models?

The backs are for the same Hero model.
The "same" closed back is simply replacement (waterproof for diving).
The open back is for outdoor activities (when the "diving case" is to be used as a protective case and you want to use the touch screen
