Under 'Downloads' there are instructions on how to register the DX800A with the Swisscom Internetbox when it is connected via LAN. Is this also possible with the Sunrise Internet Box?

I have exactly the same problem as you. I have the Sunrise Internet Box and the DX800A, but unfortunately I can only connect it in analogue.
How did you finally solve the problem?

The DX800A (like almost all network devices) is set to DHCP (-Client) by default. This means that it automatically obtains an IP address from the router (DCHP server). It should also do this with your Sunrise Box. (Thus actually plug-and-play).
