Uhhh, so....
Plug in the supplied USB uplink cable (which you then also connect to the USB hub on the screen if you are using this).
Download the firmware updater from the Asus support site.
Run it.
Be patient for about 5 minutes.
Tadaaaaa, the latest firmware has been installed.

DigitecGalaxus cannot, of course, install a subsequent firmware update on the hardware supplied. Simply plug in the USB Up cable, download the firmware from Asus and run the exe file there, which is super easy to do with the monitor. Takes about 10-20 minutes and voila "More better picture" ^^
