This drive does not work when connected to a Win10 computer equipped with USB-A 3.0 ports (with a standard USB-C -> USB-A cable). Is there a cable (or adapter) that will still allow it to be recognised on such a computer?
I've just done a test on my Mac using a cable that wasn't Thunderbolt, and the device didn't work... I think that's what's causing the problem...
Hi Pierre I use this LW with an imac and it works.
It seems to me that the protocol used by the drive to communicate is Thunderbolt 3. I think that the USB-A port on your Windows 10 computer doesn't communicate with the protocol used by the drive... have you tested the drive on another machine?
I've also tested the drive with the cable from a SanDisk Extreme PRO Portable SSD, but it doesn't work. How do I explain this?
Win10 sends the notification "Thunderbolt device functionality may be limited", but it doesn't appear in the "devices and drives".
