Question about Boya BY-M2 clip-on microphone

this comes with a lightning adapter, but unfortunately the connection is reversed: it has a hole instead of a jack, so you cannot plug just the microphone into a non-iPhone device -- at least not without an extra audio cable. And since lightning port is dead -- it's quite useless nowadays . Too bad they made such a poor design choice for the end connector
