Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra Snapdragon

The week before last, I bought the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra 5G with Snapdragon. However, two things struck me: 1. there is no option in the settings to set up the eSim. Neither Swisscom's nor Samsung's support was able to help. It's not that the option is greyed out or something, but that it's not there at all. I have two sim cards (5G is included in both subscriptions). When I put both sim cards in the phone, I only get 4G. If I put only one sim card in, or activate it, I get 5G. Do any of you know a solution or answer to this? Is it because the device was imported from Hong Kong? If so, I wonder why Digitec is advertising the device with eSim, even though this option is not activated in Switzerland with the Snapdragon model.
Hi Nikola, today my phone received the latest Software Update (October security patch) that resolved this issue for me. I can now use 5g data while having two SIM cards installed.
the comment from GSMARENA, because it's hard to find:
"Everyone goes on about how the Exynos CPU is inferior to the Snapdragon, but be aware that all dual-SIM Snapdragon 865 or 865+ phones support two active SIMs or 5G, but not both at the same time. To use 5G you have to remove or deactivate the other SIM. The Exynos Note20 Ultra 5G does not have this limitation. It's rather poor that the phone manufacturers do not make this clear. There have been suggestions that this could be fixed in firmware, but many months later we are still waiting."
1. eSim probably doesn't work.
2. dual sim with 5G does not currently work, but I would be surprised if a fix is not forthcoming. The Asus Zenfone 7 Pro has the same chip and Dual Sim with 5G works without problems.
The question of whether the e-sim works has not yet been conclusively answered, can anyone comment here?
For point 2, I saw that potentially this is a snapdragon specific issue... You have to choose either dual sim or 5g. I was doubtful, but reading your experience is like a confirmation ðŸ˜. Here is the link to the message I saw earlier.. https://m.gsmarena.com/samsung_ga... (see msg from John dated 14Oct20).
