The sound card has one DP (display port) and one HDMI connection. The monitor is operated at 200Hz on the DP, HDMI is free. Does it work without problems if the headset is plugged into the free HDMI?

It would be news to me that sound cards have a Displayport or HDMI connection. Don't you perhaps mean the graphics card?
