The price of the graphics card dropped to 802 CHF this morning and also according to the price development graph. Now the price is 872 CHF again. What is the correct price indication and why does the price change in the course of a single day?
Yes this is a very valid question indeed. I also noticed that since I have been checking the price of this card several time a day for some weeks now.
I almost pulled the trigger when it went down to 802.- this morning only to see that it went up again in the afternoon.
So unless it drops to somewhere near 650-700.- CHF I will not buy it and wait till July. Prices should drop significantly by then.
But now I have some doubt about Digitec because they increased the price by 10.- CHF every 2-3 days for the past week while constantly having this card in stock. Then they did some kind of flash sales (-8%) today and certainly after selling a given number of card they put the price back as it was before. Looks like price manipulation to me.
Again and again this tiresome question of which price is valid...
The price that is displayed above or in the shopping basket applies.
Only Digitec can say why a price changes and when they do, they only give a wishy-washy answer "purchasing sources, market situation, product availability".
Anyone who wants stable prices is wrong at Digitec.
