The monitor is not listed as "G-Sync" compatible by Nvidia. Does the monitor work in "Freesync" mode with my RTX2080? LG

"It is well known that Nvidia only officially certifies very few displays for G-Sync compatibility. If your own model is not among those selected, the function can still be activated. There is only one restriction: the whole thing currently only works via Displayport. In the case of HDMI 1.4 or 2.0, AMD uses spec-compliant but manufacturer-specific extensions in its driver that only run with Radeon graphics cards. Official VRR support only comes with HDMI 2.1, where Nvidia also wants to support G-Sync Compatible. Also important: Nvidia supports Adaptive-Sync on all Pascal and Turing graphics cards of the GTX-10 and RTX-20 series. Maxwell, Kepler and the predecessors are left empty-handed."
