The monitor has a USB Type-C™ (DisplayPort 1.2, power up to 65 W) socket.
My HP X360 is equipped with Type-C™ (with Thunderbolt™).
Charging works, but I can't get a picture?!
The USB-C connection is intended for the signal input and the monitor only has one of these. The notebook also has only one output.
There are indeed different cables. Apple also distinguishes between Thunderbolt charging cables and those that also have the pins for AV operation. But since I only have this USB-C monitor, I only have the USB-C to USB-C cable that comes with it.
Do you have the possibility to clarify with HP whether the combination should be compatible? Both end devices are premium products of the latest generation. I am thrilled with the monitor and would hate to return it. However, the fact that I have to work with adapters again because of the incompatibility is quite annoying!
