The joints do not have to be fixed, you can adjust the angles for height in use without screwing anything into the joint? However, the resistance of the joints can be adjusted, have I interpreted that correctly?

The joints do not need to be fixed with screws to adjust the angles. You can change the height or inclination directly during use. However, it is possible to adjust the resistance of the joints so that they offer more or less firmness according to your preferences.
