Question about Delock HDMI Audio 5.1 Extractor, 4K, 60Hz

The headphone socket on my TV is broken, so I can no longer use headphones and the TV keeps thinking that headphones are connected, which makes it impossible to make any settings. I have now connected a soundbar via HDMI and this works reasonably well (without ARC as I can't access the settings). Could I connect this device between the TV and the soundbar and then connect headphones from there so that the audio signal comes out of the headphones and the soundbar in parallel?
