The following situation - maybe someone can help me.... - I have attached my Asus Zenbook to this dock. - a Philips Curved Monitor, latest generation, is connected to it - at the beginning everything worked fine - somehow I must have changed something (consciously / unconsciously) so that the monitor is no longer recognised. What have I already tried? - other laptop (X1, other Lenovo) works fine - both HDMI and Displayport cables are connected - old driver used, new driver updated again ...everything brings nothing. Does anyone else have an idea or a tip? LG and thanks!
Hello, how long did the whole thing run smoothly, minutes, or several days? What happened in between?
What happens when the monitor is connected directly to the HDMI or DPort?
What happens with another external monitor?
I would try the following:
- Connect the monitor directly to the notebook and try to get that to work, then successively switch the docking station in between ...
- Reset the monitor, if possible, or set it to auto-input.
- Start Windows in standard mode, used to work with older Windows versions, only the most necessary drivers are loaded.
- Reduce the screen resolution in Windows considerably
- Check the BIOS in the notebook to see if a setting is set to AUTO and thus any parameters have been adjusted automatically.
- check if the notebook can provide all data via the Thunderbolt interface - compatibility list notebook
- consult the compatibility list of the manufacturer of the docking station regarding the screen resolution.
- consult the FAQ for the docking station
- Update the firmware of the docking station, or download it if it has been updated.
- If all else fails, consider a defect in the docking station or the interfaces on the notebook.
That's all I can think of, good luck!
