Question about Purelink Arcana
The following installation: PS4 - HDMI out to Samsung TV (with HDMI ARC), from there audio to AppleTV 4K, where the sound then goes to 2 Homepods mini. But if I want to send the picture to a beamer instead of the Samsung, but still want to play the sound via the AppleTV box - could I connect this Arcana box in between? So PS4 to Aracana, from there audio from ARC out to AppleTV, and video HMDI to beamer?
Hi, just so I understand correctly, currently the PS4 is running through the TV to AppleTV so that the sound from the Samsung TV and PS4 is streamed to AppleTV. Now it's about the PS4 which is to be connected via a projector but the sound is routed to the AppleTV.
What I don't quite understand is that the sound from the TV no longer goes through the Apple TV? You don't have two HDMI connections on the Apple TV.
My setup was (is no longer because new TV with eArc). AppleTV 4k -> Arcana Box -> Sound to Sonos Soundbar -> Picture to TV. Since the new TV now has eArc, everything now goes directly via the TV.
I think it should work with your setup, as long as you take the HDMI connections into account.
